I'm trying to use an object's static mesh as the collision mesh. This property can be set in the static mesh editor inside Unreal under Collision>Collision Complexity>Use Complex Collision as Simple. If I export an fbx file from Rhino, I am able to change this property for all objects, and the collision works as expected. When using fabric engine to import the same objects, I get no collision, even when changing this value. I can generate a collision mesh using the convex decomposition tab, but sometimes geometry can be complex (stairs, tables, chairs, etc) when doing arch viz, and simplified meshes can produce undesirable results. Any ideas why Unreal is not able to use the static mesh as collision mesh with objects imported using Fabric?
