Note that you can use RecomputeNormals to update the Normals on your modified mesh.

Great stuff @Aaron Kent! FYI, for your second mesh, the count of the randomize should match the number of points on the mesh. You can get the size of the Point Positions node or there is a specific node that will get you the point count.

Also, to be efficient, you don't need to combine the meshes together and pull out their point position arrays again. For the first plane, you'll still need the GetAllPointPositions node but for the second you can just use the Vec3 result output and add from there. Do you still have that graph by chance? Might be helpful for other users if you can post it.

@mjcg - thanks for the tip - I think I am recomputing the normals in each smooth node before the draw mesh node?
