Maya 2015 and Pex deformer

A straight question: does pex/multithreading works at all in Maya 2015 or just it does in Maya 2016 and above?

PEX works at the node level inside a Canvas graph, so they should work independently of the DCC and its DG implementation. Isn't it for you?

Well the same scene, with two deformer nodes, goes at 40/45 fps in maya 2015 and 70/75 on Maya 2016, both results consistent more or less with Maya's skin cluster (we are making a Fabric based skin cluster), which is single threaded in 2015 and multi-threaded from 2016. That's why I asked.
There is to say that the maya 2015 I used, has all our plugins loaded, some of which we know make maya slower. So tomorrow I will try with a clean, vanilla Maya 2015 and see if I have any different result.
